Established in 1875, Girls Friendly Society (GFS) is one of the oldest UK registered charities working to support girls and young women. We support girls and young women through the difficult transition from childhood to adolescence through to young adulthood, by providing opportunities for them to have fun, develop their confidence, self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and resilience to enable them to fulfil their potential and live as independent women.

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic practitioners with a youth and community work or similar background.  You will lead the delivery of an innovative and exciting programme of activities aimed at raising self-esteem and aspirations, with a focus on young women aged 11-19.  You will work closely with groups of young women through informal youth work settings and more structured activities, including accredited courses, residential and holiday programmes.  You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and will be able to work with a range of stakeholders to meet young women’s needs.
