Future Projects

Future Projects is a community based charity which works through its programmes and projects to overcome social exclusion and enrich people's lives. We aim to Engage, Inspire, Educate and then Support our clients and service users to overcome their barriers and achieve their aspirations, empowering them with the confidence, skills and knowledge necessary to resolve their own needs in the long term.

Our Core Service Provision Includes:

Future Radio 107.8fm: Community radio station, which broadcasts alternative music to Norwich 24/7. The station is supported by 150 volunteers, many of whom are young people. The station provides radio training to young people and gives them the platform to discuss their views and opinions and have their voice heard.

Future Education: Independent special school for 14-16 year old children with Behavioural, Emotional or Social difficulties and/or Special Educational Needs.

Future Baseline: Practical support service for over 16s. The Baseline service provides a range of help and support to disadvantaged people in areas such as health, housing, budgeting, welfare benefits, mental health and wellbeing, criminal justice, jobs, education and training. Our Support Workers are experienced at supporting individuals through complex and challenging issues and have strong relationships with mainstream services. In addition to our one to one support, we offer a wide range of group based activities including Job Club, Functional Skills and Yoga. The Baseline service also delivers outreach work in the Breckland and North Norfolk working with both victims of crime and offenders.

Music Studios: Industry standard music studios are open to young people from all backgrounds and abilities. Young people are free to drop in and work with our qualified, practicing professional musicians and tutors to learn how to play instruments, how to use music software, to record tunes, write songs and learn songcraft. Our tutors are able to develop excellent relationships with young people and act as mentors, helping them to access support and other services.
