The CAN Connect Service is there to support anyone over the age of 18 who is lonely or isolated in the North Norfolk. The service can do the following: Abuse/exploitation Social isolation & loneliness Mental health; Carers support Housing; Dementia/memory loss; Home adaptation/ assistive technology; Employment/learning Benefit & welfare support advice; Long term condition management; support Finding or accessing activities in the community
New Routes addresses the isolation experienced by asylum seekers, refugees and other recently resettled ethnic minorities in Norwich and provides opportunities for engaging in skill-building, sport and social activities. All programmes are designed to promote cross-cultural understanding and enable the building of bridges between diverse communities. The NR centre is open 6-days per week, running projects for women, mixed gender groups, young people, children and families. We provide one-to-one needs assessments and support, plus long term mentoring and befriending for young people and adults where requested.
